World Fish Migration Day

October 24

World Fish Migration Day (WFMD) is a one-day global celebration every two years to raise awareness and connect people working for free-flowing rivers and migratory fish. The first celebration was in 2014, and this year will be the fourth with 2,000+ participants over the years from 80 countries! Organizations from around the world create events around the common theme of connecting fish, rivers and people.

Check out the World Fish Migration Day website for the events, mostly virtual this year, and the types of projects and partners or the film highlighting WFMD 2018. If you have your own upcoming event related to rivers and/or fish, or wish to plan one, be sure to add it to the events calendar!
