We invite you to join us for our Spring Floodplains by Design workshop scheduled for:

Wednesday, May 30th 2018
9:30am – 4:00pm
The Mountaineers in Seattle
7700 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115

This workshop will focus on building and sharing our collective stories. It will feature Ron Geatz, a national TNC storytelling adviser, and up to 20 local practitioners from eight Washington floodplains who participated in storytelling training and coaching. This workshop is an opportunity to build your own storytelling skills and hear from local leaders on their stories of working and living in our floodplains.

Inspired by a collaborative team, the goals of the workshop are to:

– Gain new tools in learning the art and science of storytelling
– Learn how to weave multiple stories together to tell an integrated story, build broad funding support and share lessons learned
– Have fun and leave energized and inspired to share or develop your own story

The workshop will be interactive and will allow ample time for networking. There will be an optional session from 3pm – 4pm to explore connections between storytelling and better capturing your integrated floodplain management work in grant applications.
